Alberta released the results of five recent Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) draws held throughout March 2026, continuing to actively invite skilled workers and healthcare professionals to the province.
Alberta Opportunity Stream
On March 5, Alberta invited 832 candidates under the Alberta Opportunity Stream, the AAIP’s largest pathway for workers already employed in the province who do not have an active Express Entry profile.
Accelerated Tech Pathway
The following day, on March 6, Alberta invited 139 Express Entry candidates under the Accelerated Tech Pathway, which targets professionals in eligible technology occupations who hold an active profile in the federal Express Entry pool.
Dedicated Health Care Pathway
On March 12, the province issued 47 invitations under the Dedicated Health Care Pathway – non-Express Entry stream, which is designed to support healthcare workers seeking nomination outside of the federal Express Entry system.
Rural Renewal Stream
On March 13, Alberta invited 349 candidates under the Rural Renewal Stream, a pathway that connects eligible workers with rural Alberta communities that have expressed a need for their skills.
Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors
Also on March 13, the province issued 50 invitations to healthcare candidates under the Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors, which targets skilled professionals in fields Alberta has identified as priorities, including healthcare.
2026 AAIP Totals to Date
Across all five draws, Alberta invited a combined 1,417 candidates in March alone. With these results, Alberta has now invited a total of 3,976 candidates through the AAIP in 2026.
