Canada ends vaccine requirements for domestic and international travel

Canada is reopening the border to fully vaccinated tourists this summer

On June 20, 2022, the Government of Canada will cease to enforce vaccination requirements for domestic and international travel, federally regulated transportation sectors, and federal government staff. According to government officials, the decision to suspend vaccine requirements in the country was based on improved public health conditions. COVID-19 vaccination rates are nearly 90%, and case counts have dropped significantly. The requirements for passengers and crew of cruise vessels will continue. On planes and trains, public health precautions, such as wearing a mask, will continue to be in force.
