SUMMARY

Providing a thorough review, line by line, of the Visitor Visa application and the Schedule A. We will be bringing attention to the areas that are more sensitive for misrepresentation and what the decision-maker gathers from the answers provided. The course will include a topic on the importance of being precise and thorough when making declarations. It will also provide examples of concrete cases and recommendations on how and what to declare in different situations. This will include a discussion on submission letters, documentary evidence and, how to avoid common mistakes that could lead to a refusal. It will also focus on the decision maker’s discretion in TRV applications, tips regarding ethics and procedural fairness principles. Concluding with an overview of different choices of action after a refusal.

She also teaches Immigration Law at the University of Montreal and at Queens University. Furthermore, she is a member of the Discipline Tribunal of the College (CICC).
