SUMMARY
LMIA applications are amongst the most technical type of applications that immigration practitioners have to deal with. This course will provide an in-depth discussion of the most common types of LMIA applications, including low and high wage LMIAs, Quebec simplified processing and LMIAs supporting permanent residence. Particular attention will be devoted to practical tips for immigration practitioners, including arriving at the determination of the right wage, choosing recruitment platforms and documenting recruitment efforts, dealing with foreign worker caps, and transition plans. The instructors will also discuss the documentation required for an LMIA application, how to prepare the online forms and what to instruct clients following the submission of the application in preparation for communications with ESDC officers.
