Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has introduced updated fees across several application types effective December 1, 2025, impacting International Experience Canada (IEC) applicants, restoration of status, and a range of inadmissibility-related services.

The revised fees apply to applications for authorizations to return to Canada, temporary resident permits, and criminality or serious criminality assessments. Restoration of visitor, worker, and student status has also become more expensive. Applicants submitting online must pay the new fees immediately. Those who mailed their applications before December 1 may proceed, but IRCC will request payment of any outstanding difference.

IRCC also clarified that applicants who delayed paying the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) must now pay the updated amount. To prevent processing delays, the department advises all applicants to confirm current fees before submitting their applications.
