On February 20, 2026, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted the first occupation-specific Express Entry draw of the year targeting candidates working in healthcare and social services occupations.
In round #398, IRCC issued 4,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score was 467 points, which is 9 points lower than the previous draw for this category.
The tie-breaking rule for this round was December 9, 2025, at 18:22:06 UTC. Candidates who submitted their profiles before this date and time, and who met the cut-off score, were invited.
As of February 15, 2026, there were 235,695 profiles registered in the Express Entry pool.
So far in 2026, the Government of Canada has issued 34,848 invitations under the Express Entry system.
