Nova Scotia Streamlines Immigration Process with Four Consolidated Pathways

Two streams of Nova Scotia Nominee Program go online

Nova Scotia has restructured its immigration system by consolidating ten separate streams into four main pathways under the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP).

The program now offers clearer options for newcomers through the following streams:

Nova Scotia Graduate
Skilled Worker
Entrepreneur
Nova Scotia: Express Entry

This change took effect on February 18, 2026, and applies only to new applications submitted after that date.

What Applicants Need to Know

Existing applications remain unaffected by this restructuring. All eligibility requirements remain the same, and no changes have been made to core criteria.

Simplifying the NSNP Application Process

The province introduced this modernization to simplify the immigration process for both employers and prospective immigrants while maintaining program integrity.
