Temporary pause on Atlantic Immigration Program for NOC 62020

news word on wooden cube and newspapers

The Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration has temporarily suspended the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) and the Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry (NSEEE) stream for NOC 62020, which pertains to food service supervisors.  As a result, individuals with work experience in NOC 62020 are currently ineligible under the NSEEE, and job offers related to NOC 62020 are not acceptable under the AIP. However, candidates classified under NOC 62020 can still apply through the Skilled Worker Stream. Furthermore, food and hospitality businesses can utilize the Skilled Worker stream to recruit food service supervisors. Employers also have the option to hire food and beverage servers (NOC 65200) and food counter attendants, kitchen helpers, and related support occupations (NOC 65201) through the Occupations in Demand (OiD) stream.
