Ontario Paralegal CPD Requirements (2025)

Ontario paralegals must complete 12 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each calendar year. This includes:

  • 3 Professionalism hours (must be accredited, and at least 1 of these must be EDI)
  • Up to 9 Substantive hours (do not require accreditation)

All CPD hours must be completed by December 31 each year. Hours are reported to the Law Society of Ontario by March 31 of the following year.
