Timmins RNIP (Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot)

Timmins was selected as one of 11 communities across Canada to participate in RNIP. The Timmins pilot is spearheaded by the Timmins Economic Development Corporation and the numerous partners involved in the Timmins Employer Council.

Timmins concentrated on attracting immigrants in the four following sectors healthcare & social work, licensed and unlicensed trades, business administration, and information technology. In addition, the community allocated up to 15 spots for the open NOC applicants. As of March 9, 2021, Timmins has received the maximum number of applications for NOC 6211 Retail sales supervisors and NOC 6311 Food services supervisors.
