According to Canada’s Express Entry pool data analysis for 2025, Food Service Supervisors and Cooks represent the highest number of candidates, with 13,900 and 8,970 applicants, respectively. Analysis indicates a notable presence in the technology sector, with Software Engineers comprising 6,900 candidates and ranking third overall. The evaluation reveals that, despite prioritizing the healthcare and education sectors in category-based selections, 16 of the top 20 National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes currently fall outside the designated selection priorities, which may impact immigration opportunities for numerous qualified professionals.
