This course will discuss the new immigration programs available in the province of Quebec. This includes the changes that came into force in the November 23, 2023 regulations. It will look at the program goals, as well as some of the practical requirements for these programs, in order to help practitioners put together applications in line with those requirements.

Me. Lilia Benaïssa works primarily in the areas of administrative law and litigation (federal and provincial), with a particular focus on citizenship and immigration law. She also practises in the areas of human rights, private international law and civil law.
Before joining Dunton Rainville, Me. Benaïssa worked for several years in the legal department of a multinational real estate firm where she acquired in-depth knowledge of real estate and commercial law.
Me. Benaïssa has extensive experience in international law and humanitarian law, notably through her academic training, her professional experience with several international organizations and her active participation in conferences, training and delegations in Canada and around the world.
Me. Benaïssa is passionate about legal research and has contributed to the development of law through her contributions as a research assistant and through the writing of several university theses.
Through her academic research and writing, Me. Benaïssa has acquired significant expertise in indigenous peoples’ law, child protection law, public international law, immigration law and private international law.
