Over the past month, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the International Experience Canada (IEC) pools. From June 1 to June 30, Canada invited 7,162 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of June 27, 29,660 candidates were registered in the pool and waiting for the invitation. Canada issued 871 ITAs for Australia, 28 ITAs for Austria, 85 ITAs for Belgium, 6 ITAs for Costa Rica, 14 ITAs for Croatia, 66 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 41 ITAs for Denmark, 10 ITAs for Estonia, 8 ITAs for Finland, 544 ITAs for France, 397 ITAs for Germany, 35 ITAs for Greece, 22 ITAs for Hong Kong, 321 ITAs for Ireland, 272 ITAs for Italy, 1,242 ITAs for Japan, 960 ITAs for Korea, 2 ITAs for Latvia, 9 ITAs for Lithuania, 1 ITA for Luxembourg, 215 ITAs for New Zealand, 20 ITAs for Norway, 54 ITAs for Poland, 80 ITAs for Portugal, 24 ITAs for Slovakia, 3 ITAs for Slovenia, 148 ITAs for Spain, 43 ITAs for Sweden, 20 ITAs for Switzerland, 33 ITAs for Taiwan, and 1,588 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2025, Canada issued 80,489 ITAs under the IEC Program.
