On October 9, 2025, the Government of Ontario held new immigration draws under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), issuing 1,680 invitations to apply (ITAs) across three Employer Job Offer (EJO) streams. These draws mark one of the most active selection rounds of the year, targeting candidates in key labour market sectors such as healthcare and early childhood education.
Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream (EJO FW)
Ontario conducted two draws under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream, issuing a total of 695 invitations. 671 ITAs were sent through a targeted draw for health occupations and early childhood educators and assistants, and an additional 24 ITAs were issued through the Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) initiative. These invitations highlight Ontario’s ongoing focus on attracting skilled workers to fill critical labour shortages in healthcare and early learning fields.
Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream (EJO IS)
The province also ran two draws under the Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream, issuing 810 invitations in total. 757 invitations went to candidates with backgrounds in healthcare or early childhood education, and 53 invitations were issued to REDI candidates. This stream continues to create a pathway for international graduates from Ontario post-secondary institutions to remain in the province and contribute to its workforce.
Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream (EJO IDS)
In the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream, Ontario invited 175 candidates. 162 ITAs were issued to healthcare professionals, and 13 ITAs went to candidates under the REDI initiative. The In-Demand Skills Stream targets workers in occupations that are difficult to fill locally, further supporting Ontario’s regional development priorities.
Total Invitations in 2025
With these latest draws, Ontario has issued invitations to 10,479 candidates in 2025 across all Employer Job Offer categories. This figure underscores the province’s continued commitment to addressing workforce needs through targeted immigration pathways.
