Starting 1 April 2027, applicants must schedule their NEXUS enrolment interview within two years of getting conditional approval, returning to the deadline that had been temporarily extended to five years. Applicants conditionally approved before that date must schedule within five years of approval or by 1 April 2029, whichever comes first.

Nationals of Israel and Palestine are exempt from the 12-month bar on applying for a pre-removal risk assessment where their Immigration and Refugee Board, Federal Court or previous assessment decision was made between 30 September 2025 and 29 September 2026 inclusive.

Temporary measures preventing people whose last country of residence at the time of application was the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda or South Sudan from travelling to Canada were extended for 60 days, to 27 November 2026.

Guidance for Quebec Selection Certificate holders in Quebec applying for work permits under R205(a) was updated to add references to the Programme de sélection des travailleurs qualifiés and to the reopening of the Quebec experience program, and to add detail for officers conducting reviews.
