On September 22, 2026, British Columbia held its latest BC PNP entrepreneur draw, issuing invitations under both the Entrepreneur Immigration Base stream and the Entrepreneur Immigration Regional stream of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). The minimum score for both streams was 119 points.

The Base stream is designed for experienced entrepreneurs seeking to establish a new business or take over and grow an existing one in British Columbia. The Regional stream is for entrepreneurs starting a new business outside the Metro Vancouver Regional District in a participating B.C. community.

Entrepreneur Cut-off Scores Are Trending Upward

The 119 cut-off is three points higher than the August 25 round, when both streams closed at 116. It is the highest Base stream minimum since February 10, 2026 (121), and the highest Regional stream minimum since March 10, 2026 (129).

BC PNP Invitations So Far in 2026

September 22 was the tenth Entrepreneur Immigration round of 2026. Counting only the rounds where WelcomeBC published an exact figure, British Columbia has issued at least 114 entrepreneur invitations this year, with six additional Regional rounds reported as fewer than five invitations each. Across Skills Immigration and Entrepreneur Immigration combined, the province had issued at least 5,414 invitations as of the September 22 draw. A further Skills Immigration round on September 24, 2026 added 714 Innovate: High Economic Impact invitations.

What Happens After an Invitation to Apply

Invited candidates must have their personal net worth and accumulation of funds verified by a BC PNP-authorized accounting firm before applying, and have up to four months from the invitation date to submit a complete application. Approved applicants sign a Performance Agreement and receive a Letter of Support for a work permit application to IRCC, which must be submitted within 90 days. Once in B.C., the entrepreneur has up to 20 months to implement the business plan, with a final report due between 18 and 20 months after arrival. Only after the Performance Agreement is satisfied is the candidate nominated and able to apply to IRCC under the Provincial Nominee Class.

Two practical points worth flagging for clients: Regional stream community referrals are valid for only 90 days from issue, and a registration remains in the qualified pool for up to six months. With cut-offs rising, clients sitting just below 119 may need to strengthen their business concept before their registration expires.
