On October 20, 2026, British Columbia held new draws under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) Entrepreneur Immigration streams.

October 20, 2026 BC PNP Entrepreneur Draw Results

Stream Minimum Score Invitations Issued
Entrepreneur Immigration – Base 118 10
Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional 118 Fewer than 5

The province issued 10 invitations under the Entrepreneur Immigration Base stream. This stream is designed for experienced entrepreneurs seeking to start a new business, or to acquire an existing one and grow it, in British Columbia. British Columbia also invited fewer than five candidates under the Entrepreneur Immigration Regional stream. That stream is for entrepreneurs starting a new business outside the Metro Vancouver Regional District in a participating B.C. community.

The minimum score for both streams was 118 points. This is one point lower than the previous entrepreneur draw on September 22, 2026, when both streams required 119 points.

Base Stream vs. Regional Stream: Key Requirements

The two streams differ in several eligibility and requirements criteria:

  • Personal net worth: at least $600,000 CAD (Base) vs. $300,000 CAD (Regional)
  • Business experience: at least 3 years as a business owner-manager within the last 10 years (Base) vs. the last 5 years (Regional)
  • Eligible personal investment: at least $200,000 CAD (Base) vs. $100,000 CAD (Regional)
  • Community referral and exploratory visit: required for the Regional stream only. The referral is valid for 90 days from its date of issue.

Both streams require at least one new full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and a minimum language level of Canadian Language Benchmark 4. Invited candidates have up to four months from the date of invitation to submit a complete application. Successful applicants sign a Performance Agreement and receive a Letter of Support for a work permit. Nomination follows once the terms of that agreement are met. Full details are in the Entrepreneur Immigration Program Guide.
