On May 18, 2023, Manitoba held a new round of invitations for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In Round #179, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific selection under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 287 applicants who scored 610 points and above. Manitoba also issued 191 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The cut-off score for the LAA in this category was 701 points, 51 points higher than the previous draw. In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 27 LAAs to candidates invited through the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 721 points, 22 points more than in the previous draw. In addition, 21 invitations were issued in the International Education stream. Manitoba issued LAAs to 526 candidates, including 225 Express Entry candidates for this round. In 2023, MPNP invited 5,504 candidates, of which 1,380 received invitations in the Express Entry stream
