International Education Stream profiles were not eligible in this round.

The 96 LAAs were distributed across the following strategic recruitment initiatives:

Of the 96 LAAs issued, 20 went to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

Context Within 2026 MPNP Activity

Draw #271’s volume is considerably smaller than the preceding Draw #270 on May 7, 2026, which issued 906 LAAs including an occupation-specific component for education-sector workers. The narrower scope of Draw #271 reflects its exclusive focus on strategically recruited candidates rather than the broader EOI pool.

To date in 2026, the MPNP has invited 1,605 candidates, with 500 of those receiving invitations linked to the Express Entry system.

Practitioner Notes

Candidates who receive an LAA have 60 days to submit a complete application to the MPNP. Practitioners should note two common reasons why candidates who meet selection criteria may still be passed over in a draw: failure to provide a valid language test number in the EOI, or failure to provide a valid MPNP invitation number when declaring receipt of a strategic recruitment ITA. Confirming these details are current and accurately entered in a client’s EOI profile before each draw is essential.
