The Government of Saskatchewan has released updated processing statistics for the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), covering the second quarter of 2026 (April 1 to June 30). The new figures show some of the fastest turnaround times the program has posted in recent memory, with most streams now clearing in just two weeks. For RCICs and immigration lawyers advising clients on provincial nomination strategy, these numbers make SINP one of the quickest PNP pathways in the country right now.

Stream by Stream Breakdown
Every International Skilled Worker pathway, Employment Offer, Innovation and Tech Talent, Agriculture Talent, and Health Talent, landed at the same 2 week benchmark for Q2. This is notable given SINP’s stated 16 week target for International Skilled Worker and Saskatchewan Experience applications overall, meaning the province is processing well ahead of its own service standard for finalized files.
The Saskatchewan Experience category mirrored those results, with both the Existing Work Permit and International Students streams also completed in 2 weeks. This is particularly relevant for practitioners with clients already working or studying in the province who are looking to transition to permanent residence.
On the employer side, the Job Approval Process, which authorizes an employer to hire a foreign worker through SINP, took 3 weeks against a stated goal of 6 weeks for Employer Position Assessments. Second review requests from applicants with job offers were finalized in just 1 week; SINP did not report a comparable figure for applicants without job offers this quarter.
Practitioner Implications
These timelines reflect only finalized applications (nominated, returned, or ineligible), representing the middle 80 per cent of files after excluding the fastest and slowest 10 per cent. Practitioners should note that Saskatchewan’s 2026 program structure now includes capped sectors (trucking, retail, and accommodation and food services), which are subject to fixed intake windows and position limits separate from the priority sector streams reported above. With turnaround this fast, application completeness at submission is more important than ever, since a quick decision on an incomplete file is still a quick refusal. Given the pace of these results, this is a strong window to advise eligible clients to move on SINP applications rather than wait.
